News – A Couple Covers I’m Excited About

As the title indicates, I came across a couple of book covers this week that made me giddy because they are both for book I’m looking forward to.

First off, we have the cover for Sins of the Son by Linda Poitevin, which is the second book in her Grigori Legacy series.  Linda’s first book, Sins of the Angels, is coming out September 27th.  I’ve already read it and let me tell you, I very much enjoyed it.  I found it to be a fresh UF book and it kept me thinking for a bit after finishing it.  I’ll be posting my review after it’s released so be on the lookout for that.  Check out the cover for book 2:

Pretty cool!  Sins of the Son is headed for a March 27th 2012 release date.  No blurb as of yet but I’ll hopefully remember to post it when I see it.

Next up, we have the cover for Jennifer Estep’s six installment in her Elemental Assassin book By a Thread.  It’s slated for a February 28th 2012 release (it was pushed back from it’s original January release date).  Heads up, the blurb contains major spoilers for the fifth book, so proceed with caution.

Gin Blanco never thought she’d need a vacation from being an assassin. But a few weeks ago, she killed Mab Monroe, her nemesis and the most powerful Fire elemental in Ashland. Now, all the city’s lowlifes are trying to make a name for themselves by taking out the Spider. So she heads south to a swanky beach town, along with her baby sister, Bria, for a weekend of fun in the sun. But when an old friend of Bria’s is threatened by a powerful vampire with deadly elemental magic, it looks like Gin will have to dig the silverstone knives out of her suitcase after all. But this time, her special powers might not be enough to prevent her from coming home in a pine box…

I like this cover.  It’s odd how we see a face now though, it works.  I must admit that the model looks a little younger than I would have envisioned her, but the overall look is where I had it.  And yes, she still looks like Jennifer Love Hewitt.

So there you have it.  Two covers for two books I’ve already marked on my calender.
Happy Weekend!
