Covers Covers Covers

I have three covers to share with you guys today.  Two are brand spanking new from this week and one has been out for a while but it now has a release date.

The first cover is for the third book in one of the most nail-biting urban fantasy series out there. The Ripple Effect is book three in JA Saare’s Rhiannon’s Law series. This cover is really cool and it fits super well with the first two in the series. Check it out:

There is always a price to pay…

Rhiannon Murphy visited the future, witnessed hell on earth and made choices to change things for the greater good. Unfortunately there are consequences for her actions, the penalties for her interference possibly more than she can bear. Determined to sever her debt with a fallen angel, she pushes everything aside, focusing on locating Marigold Vesta’s resting place.

Until death comes knocking at her door.

When Disco’s maker arrives in New York, he resents Rhiannon on a level she can’t begin to comprehend. Yet Marius isn’t her most dangerous adversary, not by a long shot. Marius’s sire — a half-demon — is determined to see the necromancer who stunned the vampire world on her knees. If she won’t bend, he’ll do everything in his power to make her break. No price is too high, meaning no one is safe — including Disco and Paine.

Dealt a blow from which she can never recover, Rhiannon turns to the only person who can help her: the fallen angel who is relying on Rhiannon to save her soul. Bartering with a creature from Heaven is probably just as dangerous as starting a war with a demon from Hell, but with nothing to lose it’s no longer about life or death.

It’s about getting even.

Here are all three covers side by side:

Pretty, eh?  Urban Fantasy fans, if you have yet to give these books a try, DO IT.  They really are something special.

The second cover I want to share today is from a series that has always had incredible covers.  From the cover for the very first installment to this latest cover for book number seven, they have all been stunning.  The series I am talking about is Jennifer Estep’s Elemental Assassin series and the latest cover, unveiled this week, is for Widow’s Web, release date August 21st 2012.

For this cover, the publisher is doing things a little differently.  The cover itself for the paperback version is going to be white and there will be a stepback with Gin depicted in a beautiful drawing.  The eBook cover will be the drawing only.  Check them out:

My name is Gin, and I kill people. It’s something I’ve been doing for years as the assassin called Spider, but now, it’s turned into a necessity on my part just to survive all the lowlifes in Ashland who are gunning for me. The underworld is still in turmoil, and I seem to be on everyone’s hit list these days.

To add to Gin’s problems, her lover Owen’s ex is in town. Salina is back in Ashland to reclaim an old family legacy—and she thinks that Owen is hers for the taking. Also in the mix is Phillip Kincaid, a casino owner and all-around shady character who has a mysterious connection to both Owen and Salina.

Salina might seem like a sweet Southern belle, but there’s more to her than meets the eye. Her water elemental magic makes her a dangerous enemy—and someone who can go toe-to-toe with Gin’s Ice and Stone power. But Gin is determined to get to the bottom of Salina’s deadly scheme, even though it just might cost her everything…including Owen.

And all the covers together:

Finally I want to share the cover that was revealed a little while back.  But the reason I want to focus on it today is that we finally have a release date for this highly anticipated book!  And if you are an UF fan and have read these books, then you understand the compulsion and the happy dance that came upon knowing exactly when this book was hitting eReaders.

The book I am talking about is the fourth installment in Sierra Dean’s Secret McQueen series.  A deliciously evil and yummy series.  Check out this cover:

What is going on there?!  A wedding?!  Oh no she didn’t!  *triple snaps fingers at Sierra*  Keeping Secret is releasing…July 10th 2012!  Not too long of a wait.  Only 80 days.

Happy Weekend!

  1. Yikes, I so need to read my Sierra Dean book

  2. Looking forward to the next Jennifer Estep, and of course the next Sierra Dean! I so hope that is Lucas’ blood on her weddingdress!

  3. Oh you’re right, it’s some amazing covers! I really need to try the J.S Saare series I keep hearing amazing things about it.

  4. Rohhhh…okay, I stop fighting…I put The Rhiannon’s Law series in my wish-list! 😉

  5. I totally agree with the Saare recommendation. I find it rare that I love smaller publisher books as much as larger publisher ones, but this is a huge exception for me. So interesting and engaging. Plus, it’s rejuvinated my interest in smaller publishers, so that’s a good thing too!

I’ve got the first three Sierra Dean books on my Kobo ready to be read. I’m hoarding them for when my baby pops out cause I figure it’ll be easier to read e-books than paperbooks, but that new cover makes me want to get started right away! Samhain is doing some seriously great marketing there.
