Win a Sinners on Tour by Olivia Cunning Prize Pack!

With the release of Double Time, the third book in Olivia Cunning’s super sexy Sinners on Tour series, just around the corner, Sourcebooks is offering something really cool.  They are giving away a copy of Backstage Pass (book one) AND Rock Hard (book two) to TWO lucky winners!!!

Seriously, if you are into rock stars at all, even just a little bit, even if you aren’t today but was once upon a time, you have to check out this series.  It’s SUPER hot but still totally character driven.  Just great reads.

Now here’s how you can enter to win today:  You must answer the question I will be asking in a moment in a comment below and you must do so by Tuesday October 30th 2012 11:59pm est.  And your mailing address must either be in Canada or in the United States.

Okay, so my question is…  What band / musician / singer have you been in love with since forever?

My mother tells a story of how, when I was just wee and barely talking, I would go around singing “I’m a little bit country, I’m a little bit rock and roll” by Donny and Marie Osmond.  What made that pretty impressive is that I didn’t speak a single word of English at the time, being raised French-Canadian.  But I would not say that Donny Osmond has been my long-time musical crush – although I did love him in Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat.  My long time love would be Bon Jovi.  Man I adore that band!  But it wasn’t always the case.

There was a time in high school when I thought Bon Jovi and all things rock ‘n roll were terrible.  Basically, they were all the devil.  New Kids on the Block was where my heart lied.  I was taking dance classes back then and one day I walked into class and was told that the song we would be dancing to at the year-end recital was none other than “Living on a prayer” by the ‘devil-band’ Bon Jovi.  It was considered an ‘older’ song at the time, having been released a few years earlier, but still I was livid.  I hated that song with a passion beyond my young age and just the thought that I would be listening to that one song over and over, week after week for months and months turned my stomach.  Well, about a month in I started enjoying the song.  Enjoyment turned to Like and Like turned to Love and eventually I Adored that song.  And the band.  I went out and bought their albums, kicked New Kids on the Block to the curb and have been a rock-chick ever since.  Bon Jovi is still my absolute favorite band now but I also really enjoy Headly and My Darkest Days.

So there you have it.  My loooong winded answer to my own question.  Your answer does not need to be as lengthy.  It could honestly just be one or two words.  Just be sure to leave your comment to enter.

Good luck to everyone who decides to enter!  I can’t wait to see what you guys have to say about your long-term favorite musicians 🙂

Double Time by Olivia Cunning is releasing November 1st 2012.  You can check out my review here.

  1. The first concert I ever saw was Duran Duran and John Taylor, the bass player, was my focus. I still think he’s quite nice to look at but I don’t really follow their new music even though I still love the old stuff!

  2. I’ve been in love with the 3 boy bands-NKOTB, BSB, & NSYNC since forever. Even though I loved all the members, I had one favorite in each one. Donnie for NKOTB, Brian for BSB, and Lance for NSYNC. I follow each member on their solo journeys, now that they are no longer together.

  3. I’m with you on Bon Jovi!! He’s always been my favorite. Boy Bands just never really did it for me.

  4. What a fabulous giveaway Julie! Ever since you review Backstage Pass, I’ve wanted to check this series out. I didn’t plan on entering any giveaways recently, but this one I can’t pass up!

My long time band crush would be Good Charlotte!!!! I’ve loved them since before they were ever well known! I have every single one of their CD’s and I still constantly listen to their songs, even the ones on their very first CD. 🙂 I have not had the fortune of seeing them in concert yet…but one day I will and that day will be one of the best days of my life. 😀

  5. I’m a Bon Jovi fan too :).

  6. I love this series. I cannot wait for Trey’s book. I have been in love with Bon Jovi for years.

    Cheers,

  8. Hmmm, Brandon Flowers from the Killers.

  9. I don’t think I’ve been in love with any for a long time, but my current (for the past couple years now I guess) crush is Adam Levine from Maroon 5 😀

  10. Heather P says:

My first real concert was Def Leopard and to this day I love when I hear a Def Leopard song come on the radio. I love the Sinners and would love to win the books.

  11. Well, I have to say Bon Jovi would be my answer but they seem well represented here, so my next one would be Metallica. Yep they are old school, and my kids have me into pop, but when one of their songs come on, I still love it 🙂 Thanks for the chance to read these!

  12. Chelsea Foust says:

I have always loved lifehouse! I hear any song of theirs and I stop to listen, if I am driving somewhere I wait until the song is over before I get out of my car…They are fantastic in concert also! 🙂

  13. Northwoman says:

Ooo, Donny Osmond. He would be my first guy singer crush. But my long time band love would be Chicago. I love horns. I went to hear them in concert. I was in jazz band in high school and college, too.

My friends have loved this series and I know I will love it when I get to it. Thanks for always bringing great books to my attention and doing the giveaways.

  14. I have always been a huge Guns ‘n Roses fan, since my older cousins forced them on me when I was younger. I <3 Slash! I finally got to see him a few summers ago when Velvet Revolver was on tour! He has magical hands!

  15. If have loved many through the years. My first being NKOTB… However my current obsession is M Shadows from Avenged Sevenfold 🙂

  16. Hillary Hinz says:

I have been in love with Richie Sambora FOREVA!!

  17. Kristin Corey says:

I would have to say mine is Justin Timberlake from *NSYNC. I’ve followed him from his boyband days to his solo career to his acting career.

  18. Adam Levine…..he is Yummy!

  19. Hard Question, it’s like when someone asked what your favorite book is. I can never give one answer, I have to break it down to type. There are just too many good artists to choose from and I really enjoy music. I am sensing a rock theme so I would have to go with Guns and Roses (the old stuff not the new). Not one of the band member in particular stand out but their songs still make me feel (“My Michelle” or “November Rain”). If we were to go Country I would have to choose Garth Brooks, he is still yummy to look at and he is a wonderful singer and song writer (“Thunder Rolls” and “Friends in Low Places”). Grrr I have to add one more in the Pop category, Madonna (“Crazy For You” and “This Used To Be My Playground”). Whew… I think I am done for the moment!
