News – Cover LOVE!
Two HUGE covers were released this week. Huge for me anyways.
First off, Jenn Bennett showed off the cover for the next installment in her Arcadia Bell series, Binding the Shadows. It is super freaking pretty.
Check it out!
In the third book in this beloved and “riveting” (Romantic Times) urban fantasy series, demon-friendly tiki bar owner Arcadia Bell discovers more about her own evolving, and possibly destructive, magical abilities when her bar is the target of a demonic crime wave.
Renegade mage and bartender Cady Bell has had a rough year, but now the door to her already unstable world is coming completely unhinged. When a citywide crime wave erupts, Cady’s demon-friendly tiki bar is robbed by Earthbounds wielding surreal demonic abilities that shouldn’t exist. With the help of her devilishly delicious boyfriend, Lon Butler, Cady sets out to find the people who wronged her. But the criminals aren’t the only ones experiencing unnatural metamorphoses—Cady’s own Moon Child abilities are evolving beyond her control. Can Cady track down the monsters responsible before the monster inside destroys everything—and everyone—she loves?
Can. Not. Wait. For. This. Book! But I’ll have to because its release date is May 28th 2013. *le sigh*
Next up is the cover for Jeaniene Frost’s second installment in her Night Prince series, Twice Tempted. I really enjoyed the first book and I’m anxious to continue with Vlad’s story. He’s so yummy!
Dating the Prince of Darkness has its challenges . . .
Leila’s psychic abilities have been failing her, and now she isn’t sure what the future holds. If that weren’t enough, her lover Vlad has been acting distant. Though Leila is a mere mortal, she’s also a modern woman who refuses to accept the cold shoulder treatment forever–especially from the darkly handsome vampire who still won’t admit that he loves her . . .
Like choosing between eternal love and a loveless eternity . . .
Soon circumstances send Leila back to the carnival circuit, where tragedy strikes. And when she finds herself in the crosshairs of a killer who may be closer than she realizes, Leila must decide who to trust– the fiery vampire who arouses her passions like no other or the tortured knight who longs to be more than a friend? With danger stalking her every step of the way, all it takes is one wrong move to damn her for eternity . . .
This one, like the last book, has a step back.
On her site, Jeaniene says:
As I stated in the post revealing the Once Burned cover, no, this is not really how I picture Vlad and Leila (and Vlad would set fire to anyone taking a picture of him in that pose, lol) but it’s close enough .
I have to agree with her. Close enough as in yummy enough for me to daydream to. *grin*
Twice Tempted hits shelves March 26th 2013.
