So…lately I have been feeling tired.  Since September, I have been running the local Girl Guide Sparks unit and I started taking better care of myself and taking a Zumba and a Yoga class once a week.  Add to that my 6:30am to 6pm workday as a home daycare provider and at the end of the day…I’m pooped.  Blogging has been a bit of a challenge for me since school started because really, there just aren’t enough hours in a day.

I knew that the logical thing to do would be to add associate reviewers to the blog but I have heard such horror stories from bloggers who have done so that I’ve been reluctant.  Another concern of mine was that I love my blog’s personality!  It’s very…well,me!  I felt that adding an associate reviewer or two would change my blog’s personality.

So what to do?

While faced with this conundrum, I did what most wives to:  I aired my concerns to my husband.  Many times.  My husband is very good at pretending to listen to me while I vent.  He nods at all the right places and makes the appropriate sounds when needed.  But one of the many times I talked to him about this he must have been listening for real because he came up with a wonderful solution.  He said:  “I’ll write reviews for you.”

OMG Really?!  THATWOULDBEFREAKINGAMAZING!!!  He did a great job when he reviewed Fifty Shades of Gray for the blog so I knew he would do well.

So starting next week, Jason (a.k.a. Stanley Dimitrious) will be writing guest reviews for the blog.  He will be doing about one every three weeks.  And of course, he will still be writing his guest posts from time to time.  I am also hoping  for the opportunity to do some joint reviews with him.  I think that would be really fun.

Stanley

Stanley will be reviewing some romance books but he will also bring something new to the blog – a new genre!  Stanley enjoys reading Suspense Thrillers so sometimes you’ll see that genre pop up in his reviews.

Is this exciting news or what?!  This all means that my blog will stay the way it is but will have a little more Stanley thrown in.  I am very happy with this solution and I hope you are too.

  1. You are so lucky! What a wonderful husband to help you out and understand how important your blog is to you.

  2. How fun! I asked my hubby to do that for me last year when he was still reading (he’s not picked up a book in so long) but he didn’t want too.

  3. Yay! Stanley Dimitrious rocks!
I can’t wait to read his reviews.

  4. That is so cool and wow, loving his banner 😀

  11. That is great news Julie! I really enjoyed reading some of his previous posts! I sometimes try to tempt my boyfriend to read a book (last book I tried was by Jeremy Clarkson), but he cannot read more than 3 pages in a book. It is just not in him.
