News – Our Own Brand of Heroine

This is a little bit different kind of post.  It is not a review, yet, but it is to make you aware of this book available for the month of April.   This is an anthology with EIGHT novels from paranormal romance authors to support a good cause.

I read about this on Elizabeth Hunter’s website HERE.  I decided to purchase it for these reasons.

  1. It has a full book of Elizabeth Hunter’s work which I was probably going to purchase anyway.  The anthology is $3.99 and her book alone is $4.99.
  2. There are 7 other novels in this anthology, not short stories but full books.  I describe them further below.
  3. This is for a good cause.  All proceeds from this anthology will be donated to RAINN: The nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization and one of “America’s 100 Best Charities” according to Worth magazine

Here is a listing of the books included in the anthology:

Darkride by Laura Bradley Rede  –  Goodreads 333 ratings = 3.98

Mortal Obligation by Nichole Chase  –  Goodreads 2,457 ratings = 3.85

Shifting Dreams by Elizabeth Hunter  –  Goodreads 548 ratings = 4.11

Existence by Abbi Glines  –  Goodreads 32,812 ratings = 3.98

Providence by Jamie McGuire  –  Goodreads 17,086 ratings = 4.07

Pure & Sinful by Killian McRae  –  Goodreads 1865 ratings = 3.69

The Grey Tier: A Dead Celeb Mystery by Michelle Scott  –  Goodreads 177 ratings = 3.55

Telesa by Lani Wendt Young  –  Goodreads 687  ratings  =  4.30

I have only just started reading Shifting Dreams by Elizabeth Hunter. If it is any indication of quality, the whole thing is amazing.  I’m only six chapters in and I did NOT want to put it down to do anything else. That includes eating lunch, which I didn’t do until 4:30pm.

Anyway, I tore myself away to write this up so you all would know about this while the deal is in effect.  You may or may not be interested but I wanted you to know about it.  Thanks for “listening”  out there and reading my stuff.

  1. Northwoman says:

OK I finished Shifting Dreams last night and I LOVE it! Definitely 5 stars.

  2. I bought this after seeing it on Elizabeth Hunter’s blog and Shifting Dreams is amazing, you’re going to love it. I’ve also read Jamie Mcguire’s Providence a few years ago which I really enjoyed.
