Yummy Man – Jarod “James” Reed
Kick Ass Chick – Nora MacGregor
“For Nora MacGregor, the sinful voice of a stranger gives her permission to explore her deepest fantasies – fantasies that only exist outside her daily drudgery in the science lab. ‘James’, challenges Nora’s icy, clinical ideas about the power of sex. The arrangement – she talks to him and he returns her lost dissertation notes, page by page. What he can’t give her is human touch, tangible sweetness, attributes she finds in the company and gentle romance of Dr. Jarod Reed.
Jarod, who seized an opportune moment and became the mysterious James, is now trapped in a mess of his own making, unable to let Nora know that he wants more than an naughty bedtime story. The anonymity of being Nora’s cell phone lover frees Jarod to reach into the not- not-so-scholarly pursuits of the flesh but may have cost him the chance to make those fantasies a reality.”
Jarod is an English professor who looks forward to Tuesday and Thursday afternoons because, from his class’ window, that’s when he sees an incredibly sexy woman walk through campus carrying a laundry basket heading to the Laundromat. He’s determined to talk to her. So he goes after her and kinda spooks her. The first words she says to him are:”What are you looking at?” Love it! The woman’s name is Nora. She works in the labs at the University and she’s a little on the caution side. The second thing she says to Jarod is: “Get lost, asshole!” while aiming a can of pepper spray at him! His response is: “This is me, backing the fuck off.” Love it! lol What a story that would be to tell your grand-kids…when they are old enough to handle that kind of language, of course. 😉
“Talk Dirty to Me”, co-written by Ginny Glass and Inez Kelley, impressed me. It is the second book in the ‘Dirty Laundry’ series, but it can be read as a stand alone book. I found it to be a very well written erotica book. The flow is nice, there is no overly crass vocabulary or harsh language and the sex scenes didn’t feel forced. But since this is an erotic title, you can bet the sex was steamy.
The phone sex scenes were especially juicy! *fans herself* Nora’s short struggle with whether or not she should ‘go there’ with the mysterious James helped make the story more believable for me. And when the poop hit the fan, I love how Nora handles it. She doesn’t just shrug it off like it was no big deal. She deals her revenge…the only way one can in an erotic book. And it’s awesome.
Jarod is the perfect date. He’s sexy and smart and a gentleman. Jarod as James is super yummy! And he’s determined to break Nora out of her frigid little shell. Oh, and he’s very good at it. (lucky Nora ;))
Although I would have loved to read more about Jarod and Nora, the book ended very well. You could say it ended with quite the climax. *g* This is a short book, but you got all of the information you needed to feel satisfied. *g* (Okay, okay, I’m done with the puns.) “Talk Dirty to Me” is an easy, steamy read that will make women smile because it reminds us that we always hold the power, even when the naughty men think they do.
Swoon worthy quote
“’Ah, sweet Nora, the passion of loving a woman you can’t wait to be inside encompasses your body and your soul. It is possible to love her with all your heart while wanting to fuck her until she screams your name.’”
Giggle worthy quotes
“Some things batteries just couldn’t replace.”
“She had a date. A real, honest-to-God, shave-your-legs-and-wear-eyeliner date.”
