Question – Did You Recieve Books Over The Holidays?

This week’s question is short, simple and sweet.

Did you receive and books or book paraphernalia during the Holiday season?  If so, what did you get?

I received books, a Kobo case and a book light for my eReader…for my birthday.  But, alas, I did not receive any books or book paraphernalia for Christmas.  But…I did get a couple of gift cards for the bookstore along with some cash so, without question, that money will be magically transformed into a few much anticipated books in January.

  1. LOL, I got a few book gift cards this year and have used them to pre-order January books 🙂

  2. I receive four books for Christmas.
    Highborn by Yvonne Navarro.
    Magic Bleeds by Ilona Andrews
Book Lust & More Book Lust by Nancy Pearl.

  3. Patti – Yes…the January books. Wow, there are many! lol

Roger – Magic Bleeds is one of my favorite reads of 2010!

  4. I got the new Kindle and the Downside series in print!

  5. Sweet score everyone!

I received two B&N gift cards and an Amazon gift certificate. I bought the Downside book so they could be the first series I read in 2011. =)

  6. Mandi – You DID get the new Kindle! Yay for you!

Jen – I can not wait to hear what you think of Downside!

  7. I received a whole bunch of books to add to my TBR pile. It’s growing fast but finding time to read is a nightmare when you’re an author. I have devoured one book though, did that yesterday. Read Lara Adrian’s Kiss of Crimson.

    Here’s what I received.

Lara Adrian – Kiss of Crimson
    Lara Adrian – Midnight Awakening
    Lara Adrian – Midnight Rising
Lara Adrian – Veil of Midnight
Lara Adrian – Taken by Midnight

    J R Ward – Covet

Gena Showalter – The Darkest Kiss
Gena Showalter – The Darkest Pleasure
Gena Showalter – The Darkest Whisper
Gena Showalter – The Darkest Passion

Now I need to read them!

    Felicity

  8. I got a nice copy of The Vampire Chronicles by Anne Rice. It is the first three books in one pretty hard cover edition. I love it!

  9. Felicity – You’ll like the Midnight Breed books and the Lords books. They are from two of my ‘must buy’ series. I haven’t read Covet though… Did you ever get a great bunch of books! 🙂

Shannon – My aunt has been trying to get me to read those for a while now. 🙂

  10. I got some lovely books 🙂
    Cry Wolf
    Silver Borne
    Raven’s Shadow
    =P Briggs
    Hugh and Bess S.Higginbotham
    Rosemary and Rue
    Touched by an Alien
    Mind Games
    The Iron Duke
    Warrior by Zoe Archer

Though Touched by an alien and Rosemary and Rue seems to be lost in the mail 🙁

Oh and I am getting the 2nc Marta Acosta book, which is also late, my friend told me

  11. I got an Amazon gift card and THE IRON DUKE by Meljean Brook and A MATTER OF CLASS by Mary Balogh. Yay!

  12. I got Lee Child’s 61 Hours in print (I collect his stuff in print); a memory card for my Nook and a book light. It was really cool.

  13. blodeuedd – Wow! That’s a lot! Yay for you. 🙂

Dot – The Iron Duke is yummy. 😉

Lily – Book lights are mandatory!

  14. I received another book light that is easier to travel. Then I received a daily devotional from my mom as well as a Christian book about Nefertiti.

  15. Nope, no books. But ok with that, I have a LOT of books. 🙂

  16. Deanna – I think my mother would be nervous buying me books! lol

FV – Yes, I imagine you do have LOTS of books. 🙂

  17. I got 9 books! And now I have to some how fit them in my bag for the train ride tomorrow.
