News – Covers!

There were quite a few covers revealed over the past couple of weeks so I thought I would just put them all in one post.

The first one is for the third book in Darynda Jones’ Charley Davidson series –

I love the covers for this series!  Here’s a peek at book one and book two’s covers –

First Grave on the Right is already in stores (you can check out my review here.).  Second Grave on the Left is hitting stores August 16th 2011 and Third Grave Dead Ahead is landing on shelves February 2nd 2012.

Next up, we have the cover for the 10th book in Lara Adrian’s Midnight Breed series, Darker After Midnight.

This one is Harvard’s book!  Woot!  It’s due out January 24th 2012 and it will be the first time a Midnight Breed book will be published in Hardcover!

Cassandra Clare revealed the cover for Clockwork Prince recently.  It is the second book in her Infernal Devices trilogy.

In the magical underworld of Victorian London, Tessa Gray has at last found safety with the Shadowhunters. But that safety proves fleeting when rogue forces in the Clave plot to see her protector, Charlotte, replaced as head of the Institute. If Charlotte loses her position, Tessa will be out on the street—and easy prey for the mysterious Magister, who wants to use Tessa’s powers for his own dark ends.

With the help of the handsome, self-destructive Will and the fiercely devoted Jem, Tessa discovers that the Magister’s war on the Shadowhunters is deeply personal. He blames them for a long-ago tragedy that shattered his life. To unravel the secrets of the past, the trio journeys from mist-shrouded Yorkshire to a manor house that holds untold horrors, from the slums of London to an enchanted ballroom where Tessa discovers that the truth of her parentage is more sinister than she had imagined. When they encounter a clockwork demon bearing a warning for Will, they realize that the Magister himself knows their every move—and that one of their own has betrayed them.

Tessa finds her heart drawn more and more to Jem, but her longing for Will, despite his dark moods, continues to unsettle her. But something is changing in Will—the wall he has built around himself is crumbling. Could finding the Magister free Will from his secrets and give Tessa the answers about who she is and what she was born to do?

As their dangerous search for the Magister and the truth leads the friends into peril, Tessa learns that when love and lies are mixed, they can corrupt even the purest heart.

The cover features Jem and I really like this one!  Clockwork Prince is slated for release December 6th 2011.  You can also find the chapter titles on Cassandra’s site.

Finally, we have the most badass cover of the week.  Well, I find it is.  Devon Monk revealed the cover for the 7th installment in her Allie Beckstrom series, Magic on the Line.  Check it out –

The gun and the sword…  You just know this book is going to kick ass!  Magic on the Line is out in stores November 1st 2011.

  1. I’m definitely checking out “Clockwork Angel” and “Clockwork Prince”. Just learned about both books last week and they look very interesting. Plus, yummy men… 😉

  2. Awesome covers! Thanks so much for sharing Julie!

  3. Wendy – You can never have too many yummy men… 😉

Larissa – There are some pretty exciting ones here! 🙂

  4. I really like the Clockwork Prince cover. I need to start the Allie Beckstorm series! The covers are awesome. Now for the three covers on the Charley Davidson series I think book 1 and 3 really fit together. I saw book 3’s cover and automatically associated it with book 1. I haven’t read the series yet but I knew that it fit with the sereis…book 2 just throws me off. I would have thought it would show the grim reapers weapon with a pair of legs in a black outfit or something…not the midsecion of a female. I don’t even know if I’m making sense…sorry if I just confused you! 😛
