News – Three Exciting Notes

  • Kelly Meding has a new cover.  Wrong Side of Dead is the fourth installment in her Dreg City series and is due out January 31st 2012.  Check it out:

Barely recovered from her extended torture at the hands of mad scientist Walter Thackery, Evy can use a break. What she gets instead is a war, as the battered Triads that keep Dreg City safe find themselves under attack by half-Blood vampires who have somehow retained their reason, making them twice as lethal. Worse, the Halfies are joined by a breed of were-creature long believed extinct—back and more dangerous than ever. Meanwhile, Evy’s attempts at reconciliation with the man she loves take a hit after Wyatt is viciously assaulted—an attack traced to Thackery, who has not given up his quest to exterminate all vampires . . . even if he has to destroy Dreg City to do it. With Wyatt’s time running out, another threat emerges from the shadows and a staggering betrayal shatters the fragile alliance between the Triads, vampires, and shapeshifters, turning Evy’s world upside down forever.

I am reading Wrong Side of the Dead right now (book three which will be sitting on the shelves of your local bookstore on August 2nd 2011) and quite enjoying it.  In fact, this series lives on my favorites page.  🙂

  • Stacia Kane has announced that book 5 of her Downside Ghosts series will be called:

Chasing Magic

I like it!  I like it a lot.

  • Molly Harper announced the title for the fourth book in her Jane series.  It will be:

Nice Girls Don’t Bite Their Neighbors

And there is a blurb!

Just as Jane Jameson’s unlife seems to be stabilizing, fate sinks its fangs firmly into her butt. Despite her near-phobia of all things marital, her no-frills nighttime nuptials to her sexy boyfriend Gabriel are coming along smoothly. But the road to wedded bliss gets bumpy when a teenage acquaintance is fatally wounded in front of Jane’s shop and she turns him to save his life. The Council pronounces Jane responsible for the newborn vamp until he can control his thirst.

Jane’s kitchen at River Oaks barely holds enough Faux Type O to satiate the cute teen’s appetite and maintain Gabriel’s jealous streak at a slow simmer. As if keeping her hyperactive childe from sucking the blood out of the entire neighborhood isn’t enough to deal with, the persnickety ghost of Jane’s newly deceased Grandma Ruthie has declared a war on the fanged residents of River Oaks. Suddenly,
choosing monogrammed cocktail napkins and a cake that she can’t eat seems downright relaxing in comparison.

Tensions inside the house are growing…and outside, a sinister force is aiming a stake straight for the center of Gabriel’s heart. Most brides just have to worry about choosing the right dress, but Jane fears that at this rate, she’ll never make it down the aisle for the wedding all nice girls dream of….

I like it!  I like it a lot.  *g*  It will be released in March 2012 and apparently the cover is a photo of a shirtless Gabriel.  Yeah…niiiice.  When Molly posts it I’ll show it off here.

And I do believe I will be doing a series re-read for that one and posting reviews in preparation for book four’s release.  Just because those books live on my favorites pages, doesn’t mean I remember every single thing about them.  lol

Happy Weekend!
